The winter in Europe had begun[:]
[:es]Dicen que Holanda es el país de las bicicletas y que es perfecto para pedalear debido a las ciclo-vias. Pero esto no es así, porque al dejar una ciudad las ciclo-vías se dividen una y otra vez, como si fuesen un gran laberinto y por ello es casi imposible no perderse.[:en]It is believed that Holland is the country bikes and that it is perfect to cycle through bicycle lines. But it is wrong, because when you leave a city the cycle-lanes start to divide as a great labyrinth and it is quite impossible don´t get lost.[:]
[:es]Londres es la ciudad más grande del continente, pero ingresando a ella tuve la sensación de estar en varios lugares al mismo tiempo, porque por kilómetros viven y trabajan turcos inmigrantes, paquistaníes, hindúes y africanos. Lo que menos parecía era Europa.[:en]Reaching to London, I had the sensation of being at the same time in several places, because per kilometres I saw Turks, Pakistani, Hindu and Africans people. [:es]Mi estadía en la capital se extendió durante casi 2 semanas, que sirvieron para poner a punto la bici y conocer a los irlandeses que son muy distintos a los ingleses. Son serviciales, abiertos y amigables; los irlandeses son buena gente.[:en]I stayed in Dublin during almost 2 weeks, I checked the bike and I live together with the Irish people; and I understood that they are very different to the English people. They are helpful, open and friendly; the Irishmen are good people.[:]
[:es]Lo lindo de pedalear por estos países es que las distancias entre las ciudades son muy cortas y todos los días resultan novedosos. Lo malo, en ésta época del año es el clima, el viento es muy fuerte, y casi todos los días llueve. [:en]The nice thing of pedalling for these countries is that the distances among the cities are very short and every day is different. The bad thing, during this time of the year, is the weather, when the wind is very strong and everyday it rains [:]
[:es]Oslo es la más antigua de las capitales escandinavas y aunque ocupa una gran extensión cuenta con tan sólo una población de 500.000 habitantes. Allí visité uno de los principales museos vikingos, donde sentí fascinación por este pueblo de navegadores, que fueron verdaderos amo y señor del mar.[:en]Oslo is the oldest Scandinavian capital city and although it occupies a great extension it counts with only a population of 500.000 inhabitants. There I visited one of the main Vikings museums, where I woke up myself a great fascination for this people who were a true Master and Mister of the sea. [:]
[:es]En Copenhague me recibió Hans, un sociólogo que con mucho entusiasmo me contó acerca de sus pueblos orígenes. Según Hans, los vikingos siempre se distinguieron por ser grandes diplomáticos y no por ser un pueblo guerrero. Desde el siglo IV a.C., negociaban los secretos para construir los más sofisticados barcos. La destreza de los vikingos en esta actividad era basada en una larga y sólida experiencia. Hoy estas tradiciones aún se mantienen activas; los astilleros daneses y sus barcos se cotizan en el mundo entero.[:en]Hans was sociologist and with a lot of enthusiasm he told me about the origins of his people. According to Hans, the Vikings were always distinguished to be big diplomatic and not to be warriors. From the century IV B.C., they negotiated the secrets to build the most sophisticated ships. The dexterity of the Vikings in this activity were based on a long and solid experience. Today these traditions still stay active; the Danish shipyards and their ships are quoted in the whole world.[:]
[:es]Mi recorrido en Suecia se vio marcado por las lluvias, desde Estocolmo pedaleé hasta Malmo, y en el camino visité la isla de Gotland. Afortunadamente casi siempre encontré gente que me pueda recibir, locales y extranjeros; y cuando no, armaba la carpa bajo el agua.[:en]Mi trip in Sweden was under the rain, from Stockholm I cycled to Malmo and I visit Gotland Island. I was lucky because most of the time I was hosted by people, if not I camped. [:]
[:es]Llegué a Helsinki de barco y enseguida me dirigí a la plaza de Mercado “Kauppatori” donde también llegan los isleños para vender sus productos. Allí yo también realicé mis ventas y fue muy bueno. Luego llamé al Che, un argentino que vive en Finlandia hace más de 15 años y que supo contactarme con otros compatriotas durante mi recorrido en el país.[:en]I arrived in Helsinki by boat and at once I went to the “Kauppatori Market” where the insular farmers arrive in small wooden ships to sell their fresh products. I also sold very well. Then I met Che, an Argentinean who has been living in Finland since 1990. He introduced me with others compatriots along my way through the country.[:]
